The pattern was designed in Tensta and the fabric is printed in a factory in Sweden. The fabric is popular in curtains, tablecloths, cushion covers etc. for those keen on sewing.

About the pattern:
Since 2007 Livstycket has inspired and supported women in Turkey in the cities of Samsun on the Black Sea, Van in eastern Turkey and in Istanbul. The activities have varied a little but all have aimed towards the women having the opportunities of formal learning as well as of creating with their hands. Activities which in turn strengthen the position of women in the family and in society. The pattern that the women drew describes some of Turkey’s diversity with images both from the past and from modern city life. A pattern that creates recognition and joy, Turkish Delight.
Ever since the start in 1992, Livstycket Knowledge and Design Centre has worked with the vision of Sweden for everyone. Here, immigrant women have been able to learn Swedish, IT skills and study civics. For many, Livstycket has provided the first building blocks towards a written language. Our project is that of words and images that are converted into textile patterns, primarily in screen printing. When you shop with us, you buy a modern product in a unique design and you also contribute to making our vision become a reality.
